Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her native country to the US in search of the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. She was raised by her twin sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's television career started with several National Commercials. Ghanizada's performance on the Laura Neri 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose as Chiara was nominated for the Best Actress award at one of the film festival. The television shows she has appeared in are How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells Psych Castle and Castle. Most recently, she played an appearance in the science fiction action film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). In 2008 Ghanizada became part of the cast for the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital, Night Shift, Ghanizada played Doctor.
